A Queen walk removes an Air Defense and opens a lane, then Lava Hounds tank while Balloons work the defences. These TH9 layouts are laid out specifically against that attack. Open one and rebuild it in an empty layout slot in game.

TH9 is not the current maximum, which is TH18. These layouts still work exactly as designed for players at TH9.

What makes a base anti air at TH9

A Queen walk removes an Air Defense and opens a lane, then Lava Hounds tank while Balloons work the defences.

  • Spread the Air Defenses so no two share a compartment and none sits on the edge
  • Put Seeking Air Mines behind the Air Defenses, on the side the Balloons will come from
  • Angle both Air Sweepers at the two realistic air entry sides rather than at a corner
  • Keep single-target Inferno Towers apart so a single Freeze cannot take both out of the fight

At TH9 the attacks worth designing against are Mass Dragons, Hog Rider Attacks. Each layout page names what that base is good against and what beats it, so you can match the base to the attacks you actually face.

No, and no base does. Tuning a layout against one attack always leaves something else easier. Each layout page names what beats it, so you can pick a base that matches the attacks you actually face.
How do I build these TH9 layouts?
Open the base picture, then open the Layout Editor in Clash of Clans, pick an empty layout slot and place each building and wall where the picture shows it. Taking a screenshot of the picture first makes it easier to follow.
