What changed at TH17

  • Inferno Artillery: the Town Hall merges with the Eagle Artillery
  • Firespitter
  • Giga Bomb
  • Hero Hall replaces the hero altars
  • Minion Prince hero
  • Thrower troop and the Revive Spell
  • Multi-Gear Tower, added in the February 2025 update

New buildings and levels change where the strongest defences sit, so a base built for the level below usually needs reworking rather than reusing.

How do I build a TH17 base layout in Clash of Clans?
Open the base picture, then open the Layout Editor in Clash of Clans, pick an empty layout slot and place each building and wall where the picture shows it. Taking a screenshot of the picture first makes it easier to follow.
How many TH17 layouts are on this page?
75 layouts are published for Town Hall 17, newest first. Every one is checked against the August 2026 update.
Which TH17 base should I use?
Pick by what you are defending. War bases are built to deny the three star, farm bases protect storages and Dark Elixir, and trophy bases protect the Town Hall and your percentage. The type chips at the top of this page filter to one goal at a time.
