New buildings and levels change where the strongest defences sit, so a base built for the level below usually needs reworking rather than reusing.

How do I build a TH3 base layout in Clash of Clans?
Open the base picture, then open the Layout Editor in Clash of Clans, pick an empty layout slot and place each building and wall where the picture shows it. Taking a screenshot of the picture first makes it easier to follow.
How many TH3 layouts are on this page?
47 layouts are published for Town Hall 3, newest first. Every one is checked against the August 2026 update.
Which TH3 base should I use?
Pick by what you are defending. War bases are built to deny the three star, farm bases protect storages and Dark Elixir, and trophy bases protect the Town Hall and your percentage. The type chips at the top of this page filter to one goal at a time.
Is TH3 still worth building a base for?
Town Hall 3 is not the current maximum, which is TH18. These layouts still work exactly as designed for players sitting at TH3, and they matter in Clan War League where lower halls are matched against each other.
