Submit a Base Layout
We publish layouts from players. If you have a base that holds, send it in. Submissions are free, there is no account to create, and we ask for as little about you as possible.
Send everything to [email protected] with the subject line Layout submission. There is no submission form and no upload page. Email is the whole process, and if that ever changes the form will be linked from this paragraph.
What to send
One required thing and one optional one.
1. A screenshot of the base (required)
This is the part that matters most. A player deciding whether to copy your base looks at the picture first, so the picture has to show the base clearly.
How to take a clean one:
- Open Clash of Clans and go to the village that holds the base.
- Open the Layout Editor and select the layout you are sharing.
- Hide the interface using the hide UI control in the editor, so buttons, resource bars and the chat overlay are out of the way. If your device has no hide control, send it anyway and tell us.
- Zoom so the base fills the screen without cutting off a wall, a trap or a corner building. Leave a small margin of grass around it.
- Take the screenshot, then crop it around the base if you can, roughly four wide by three tall. If you cannot crop, we crop from the centre.
What we can accept:
- At least 700 pixels on the shortest side. Any recent phone screenshot clears this easily.
- PNG or JPG, under 10 MB. Not a video frame, not a photo of a screen, not a collage.
- The base only. No arrows, no circles, no added text, no watermark, no other site’s branding, no thumbnail art.
- Nobody else’s name. No other player’s name, clan name or player tag anywhere in the frame. Crop it out or take the shot again. This is a hard rule, not a preference.
We convert every accepted screenshot to a 960 by 720 WebP, strip its metadata, and serve it from our own domain. We do not hotlink your image and we do not upload it anywhere else.
2. Your in-game name (optional)
If you want credit, give us the name you want shown and, if you like, one link to your own channel or profile. If you would rather stay anonymous, say so and the layout is published without a credit.
A screenshot is all we need to publish your base.
What not to send
Please do not send us any other personal information. We do not want and will not ask for your email password, your Supercell ID, your player tag, your age, your location, your phone number or a photo of you. The only personal data a submission needs is the display name you choose, and even that is optional. The privacy policy explains what happens to the email itself.
Do not send layouts that are not yours. Do not send a base you copied from another site, from a video, or from an opponent you fought. Do not send a screenshot taken from someone else’s video, stream or website, even with the watermark cropped off. By submitting, you confirm the design is yours to share and the screenshot is yours to give us, as set out in the terms.
Review criteria
Every submission is reviewed by a person and checked automatically. Here is what we look at, in order:
- The screenshot is usable. Big enough, cropped to the base, no interface clutter, no other player’s name, no added graphics. Most rejections are here, and most of them are fixed by retaking the shot with the UI hidden.
- It is legal for the hall. Building and trap counts must not exceed what that Town Hall or Builder Hall unlocks, and walls must be within the allowance. A base with an impossible piece count is not published.
- It has a clear role. War, farm, trophy, hybrid, progress, legend or fun. A base should be built for something. “Good at everything” is usually good at nothing, and we will not tag it as a war base to fill a gap.
- It is genuinely different. If it is a near-copy of something already on the site, or of a base that has been circulating for a year, we will say so. We would rather have forty distinct bases per Town Hall than four hundred variations of one ring base.
- It survives real attacks. Tell us how it has performed: which attacks it has held against, at roughly what level, and how many defences you have seen. We do not need a spreadsheet. We do need honesty. A base with no defence history gets published as untested or not at all.
- It has a weakness you can name. Every base loses to something. If you can tell us what beats it, that goes on the page and makes the page useful. A submission that claims a base is unbeatable is a submission we do not trust.
We are not obliged to publish anything, and we do not always explain a rejection in detail. Most rejections are one of the first two points and come with an invitation to fix and resend.
What we write
If we publish your base, we write the analysis ourselves: what the compartments protect, where the traps sit, what it defends and what beats it. We may edit or shorten anything you sent to keep the page accurate and consistent with the rest of the site. We do not put words in your mouth and we do not attribute our analysis to you.
Credit policy
- Published contributor layouts carry a visible credit with the name you gave us, plus one link if you supplied one. The credit sits on the layout page, next to the base you sent.
- Credit stays on the page for as long as the layout is on the site. We do not quietly strip credits later.
- You can ask us to change the name, add or remove the link, or remove your credit entirely at any time. Email us and it is done.
- You can ask us to take your layout down at any time, including the screenshot. We remove both, no questions asked.
- You keep whatever rights you have in your design and in your screenshot. Publishing here is permission for us to show them, not a transfer of ownership.
- We do not pay for layouts and we do not sell them. Everything on this site is free to copy.
After you send it
We reply to every submission, usually within a few days. If it is published we send you the page address. If a link you submitted later stops working, we will email you once before taking the layout down, so you have a chance to reshare it from the same base.
Questions about any of this go to the contact page.
